Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall is one of the best hidden gems in north Bali, where the hills are still loaded with crowd-free waterfalls just waiting to be discovered.
This spot has no less than 4 fantastic falls just a short distance apart, including the picturesque Bhuana Sari waterfall. The jungles you get to walk through are part of the fun too.
Almost no tourists have been to the Banyu Wana waterfalls yet. This travel guide will explain how to get there, and everything you need to know before you go!

What To Expect
The Banyu Wana waterfalls are hidden in the jungle and youβll need to do some short hiking to reach them.
Itβs an easy path, although the way back up is a bit exhausting. After a short walk from the entrance, youβll reach a fork in the road, with a sign showing some pictures of the falls.
Turn left at the sign and walk for 5-10 minutes to reach the first two waterfalls. Then come back to the sign and walk another 10 minutes to find the last two. All four falls are worth visiting!
Along the way, youβll see lots of exotic plants and trees, including bamboo forests and jack fruit trees. Itβs an awesome environment that makes the place that much more enjoyable.
Plan to spend a couple hours here if you want to see all of the waterfalls. Youβll want to take lots of pictures and maybe go for a swim!
Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfalls
1. BWA / Bhuana Sari Waterfall
This is the most popular waterfall at Banyu Wana, and you can reach it with a 5 minute walk.
It may not be the biggest, most impressive waterfall in Bali, but I think itβs one of the nicest.
It has dozens of tiny waterfalls cascading down the rocks in a way that almost looks artificial!
2. Single Waterfall
This is a big waterfall located directly across from Bhuana Sari, with a cave so you can walk behind the falls!
During the dry season (roughly May to December) this waterfall disappears.
3. Twin Waterfalls
This is a set of twin waterfalls that are separate from the first two at Banyu Wana, but you can reach them with just a 5 minute hike.
4. Banyu Wana Amertha / Spray Waterfall
Last but not least, the biggest waterfall at Banyu Wana (nicknamed the Spray Waterfall) is a 10 minute walk from the others.
This is one of the biggest and best waterfalls in Bali! Itβs a huge cascade with a leafy background and a wide, shallow pool at the bottom for swimming.
Entrance Fee
Thereβs an entry fee of 30k IDR (~$2 USD) that gives you access to all 4 waterfalls.
How To Get There
Banyu Wana Amertha waterfall is located in the Wanagiri area of north Bali, Indonesia.
Itβs a 60-90 minute drive from Ubud, or 30-60 minutes from Singaraja.
The best way to get there is to rent a scooter or hire a private car and driver (both of these can be booked online).
